Theatre has the power to not only transform the viewer but also the performers. We witnessed a slow but definite transformation in the women domestic workers who through this experience of theatre and filmmaking. From being shy and uncertain, these women started to find confidence and power in their voice. They performed and presented these stories in front of an urban effluent audience, unlike the communities they usually interact with. This brought in a sense of "My voice matters too." which is truly amazing. Reel Nomads would like to thank all the domestic workers who have been a part of this documentary. Most of them are often sole earners of their families and work from the wee hours of the morning till sunset. every day.Most of them are also mothers running their own households. We are grateful to them for having taken out the time to be a part of our shoots and also for raising their voice.‍
